Getting Around
An extensive bus network covers the city. Fares start from
180 yen. Karasuma Subway Line runs from Takeda to Kyoto
Stn. to Kitayama at a 160 yen minimum fare. A one-day pass,
1,050 yen for adults, 530 yen for children (two-day pass: 2,000 yen
and 1,000 yen respectively), is available for use on most buses
and the subway. Taxis are plentiful, with fares starting from
470 yen or 480 yen depending on the taxi company.
