Nagato City
(Nagato-shi,Yamaguchi,Japan)
Welcome to the peaceful culture of Nagato. The ocean air and mountain
breezes have come to greet you. From the island of Omishima, across the
Japan Sea Alps,to the blue lotus blooms of the Saienji Temple, the wind
sings the songs of Kaneko Misuzu at it wraps itself around the gravestones
of the many whales taken long ago. The serene songs soothe the resting
spirits of the unborn whales and echo along the shores of Senzaki,
birthplace of Miss Misuzu. The dancing breeze from the mountains of
Tawarayama decend through the final resting place of members of the famed
Ouchi family. Further on, the lilting wind passes through Fukawa Yumoto,
home of beautiful Hagiyaki earthenware and Soutou Buddhism. From the
Taineji Temple to the memorial stone of Chikamatsu Monzaemon, the breeze
