alt.chinese.text doesn't use GB, it uses HZ.

I compiled mosaic-2.4(L10n) on my DECstation ( with some tinkering) ,
and it is really nice to read the Chinese GB files in ifcss.org.  However,
if I open url news:alt.chinese.text after I have chosen the GB fonts,
mosaic does not display chinese, just like I did not load GB fonts at all. 
In fact it does not make any difference if choose GB fonts or not, mosaic
just doesn't get it.  Is it a "bug" in mosaic or some thing with the
news configuration ?   

Anyway, I like the program very much and wish it the best.

Congrads! I tried and failed with "...failed DNS lookup". Maybe if I wait 
.... long enough it will work. I presume when you say nothing is in Chinese, 
it means it was all in english?

Today, I finally was able to connect to China's 1st WWW server at
http://www.ihep.ac.cn:3000/ihep.html, but nothing is in Chinese :(
i'm looking forward to seeing it expand, with Chinese information.

reachable on certain times of the day.  But i did download the home page to
