松井＠東京工業大学です。

comp.sys.newton.announceを読んでいたら、アップルのNewton用の
WWWクライアントの話が出ていました。しかし、携帯用のPDAにもWWW
のクライアントがのるようになったのですね。

Announcement: WWW-Community and Newton-Community to be unified.

At the Telecooperation Office (University of Karlsruhe, Germany) a project
was carried out researching impacts of
PDA architecture on the usability of these devices to act  as browsers for
multimedia information. 

As one of the results of these activities, we developed a WWW browser for
the
Apple Newton PDA. This browser offers nearly the same look and feel as the
well known WWW-browser "Mosaic". The browser is able to fetch and display
textual or image-based WWW-pages from all over the world by telephone. 

A first prototype was sucessfully presented at the13th IFIP World Computer
Congress in Hamburg, Germany. An oral presentation will be given  on the
2nd
WWW conference in Chicago in October. 

The browser will be avilable for the net soon.
