うーむ、ということは、アメリカ展（スミソニアン？）あたりからでしょうか。

なるほど、大変そうですね。;-(
今回の UNIX COSMOS では、日経が強力に Mosaic を前面に押し出して
やっていますので、その系列のメディアにはかなり Mosaic がでてくる
ようにも思います。

見ました。（そんなわけで高田さんのご尊顔はまだ拝見しておりません。）
手元の「テレビぴあ」によると、今週金曜日のNHKスペシャルのテーマは「情
報スーパーハイウェイ」だそうです、皆さま。
同じく「テレビぴあ」によると、今日から学情の所長がNHK人間大学「デジタ
ル時代」というシリーズを始めるようです。（どうでもいいか）
デジタル時代と言えば、私はディジタル時代（日本DECに在籍していた頃）に、
会社のノヴェルティとして、digitalの文字がレリーフで入った樽、つまり、
「出字樽（でじたる）」を作ろうと提案したことがありますが、日の目を見
ませんでした。心残りです。（わたしバカよね）DECの人、ぜひ作って、私に
一個、いや同居人の分と合わせて二個、送ってくれると嬉しいなぁ...

archieで調べて見ましたが、良く分かりませんでした。

私もfilterをいろいろ探していて、info.cern.chにアクセスしてみました。
このメーリングリストに参加している人はほとんど直接アクセスできると
思いますが、以下にアクセスした時の情報（94/06/23のデータ）を添付して

個人的には
FrameMaker -> HTML
plain text -> HTML
latex -> HTML
PS -> HTML
news -> HTML
があれば、助かるのですが。（できれば日本語化したもの）
fm2html は試してみたのですが、trans プログラムが動いたままで、ハング
したのか、無限に動きっぱなしになってしまいました。
どなたか、うまく動作した方はおられますか？
plain2html, news2htmlは日本語化されているみたいですね。
一度、試してみます。
あと、fj.os.linuxのFAQの形式をHTMLに変換するツールもあると嬉しいので

There are tools that can convert SGML conforming to some other DTD into HTML. Here are some
examples. The HTML DTD can be found here and the HTML+ DTD can be found here. There is also a
program dtd2html to convert SGML DTDs themselves to HTML to help browse and understand them.

man2html.c converts nroff output to html.
dir2html is a shell script which generates a menu of pointers to files with particular
suffixes in a set of directories. It also includes a README file at the head of the
hypertext list if one exists.

here is a perl script that converts an AmigaGuide hypertext document into a directory full

There is a perl script for use as a Plexus filter to convert setext markup to HTML.

Charconv allows the transformation of one encoding of an extended character set (e.g., ISO
Latin-1) to another (e.g., MS DOS, Macintosh). It can handle HTML.
Here are a couple of simple scripts to convert a .newsrc file into html.
findrefs.pl Written by Ari Lemmke, finds references http:... in plain text files and
generates anchors out of them.
htn2html.c See the Hytelnet gateway for the program to convert hytelnet data into HTML.
blast2html is a filter written in Perl for adding hyperlinks to the output of BLAST, a
program used by molecular biologists to compare DNA and protein sequences. Contact:

Converting from HTML
Browsers
Most www browsers will convert html to plain text, for example:
www -na "some-URL" > my-text
(See the Linemode browser and command line options).
lynx -dump "some-URL" > my-text
(See the Lynx documentation)
Mosaic will let you "save as" in various formats including plain text and PostScript.
Other tools
www_and_frame will convert HTML to MML for FrameMaker. See also an HTML to MIFconverter and
toolkit by the same author (Dan Connolly).
html2latex is a program by Nathan Torkington based on the NCSA html parser. There is also a
sed script to convert HTML into LaTeX.
Some SGML tools will allow you to convert HTML to other formats. For instance:
gf. A general-purpose SGML compiler.
HyperHelp Bridge from Bristol Technology will convert to RTF.
SGML2TeX will convert SGML to TeX on the PC.
sgml2 will convert SGML to other formats.

見せていただきました。 全くの素人ですが,

などとすると，1ぺーじに同時に表示されて比較ができますね。
さっそく、たくさんのアクセスありがとうございます。
まだ、外部との線が細いのでかなりかったるいのではないかと思います。
たしかに１本の染色体だけ表示するのは空白が多いですね。
でも２１本同時に表示するのも、待ちくたびれるかな、というところです。
５本ずつくらいの表示にしたほうがいいのでしょうか。
