Interpreter Guides

For licensed professional tour guides, contact one of the leading travel agents (see list on here) or call the Japan Guide Association at Tel. (03) 3213-2706.

Goodwill Guides are volunteers who help foreign visitors communicate in various situations. These guides also attend events for foreign people sponsored by local organizations in order to assist with communication, provide tourism information and paricipate in cultural exchange. They are on hand to provide information at such places as the Asakusa Tourist Center, JR Kyoto Station, Osaka Station and the tourist information offices in Nara.
