A year is about to pass since the Great Hanshin Earthquake. Although most of the rubbish is being removed, the pace of the rehabilitation is slow and heavy, and the quake is still not an incident of the past. The fear and the grief is fading as time passes by, and the difference of the feeling towards the quake of the stricken people and the viewers are getting greater and greater. Therefore, ABC TV will broadcast Earthquake One Year Special Feature for over 30 hours starting Jan. 16 (Tues.) night to 17 (Wed.) midnight under the title of "Cheer 1.17", to cheer the stricken area and the people whom still are carrying pain, and to make this day an encouraging day. Concept is "Messages from and to the stricken people". ABC is collecting these messages from all of you also through E-mail. We plan to introduce number of messages from the mail on this page and in the program.
