Nagoya University College of Medical Technology was established in October 1977 near the Branch Hospital on Daiko campus, with view to conducting research to medical science and techniques and educating students in their use, in order to foster such technical experts as can contribute their services to medical and health care.
The Department of Nursing was set up at the same time as the college. Later the Department of Medical Technology was opened in April 1979, subsequently the Department of Radiological Technology in April 1980, and lately the Departments of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy in April 1984.
