Symposium on LIFE IN JAPAN (Press Release) UNITED FRONT JAPAN, an
organization working to promote the welfare and legal rights of
non-Japanese with Japanese spouses, and other long-term or permanent
residents of Japan, will hold the following symposium: TOPIC: LIFE
IN JAPAN with a focus on legal issues affecting non-Japanese
residents. SPEAKERS: Mr.In Ha Lee, a long term resident Korean
national married to a Japanese, and currently Chairperson of the
Representative Assembly of the Foreign Residents of Kawasaki,will
speak on DISCRIMINATION BY ETHNICITY AND NATIONALITY. Mr. David
Aldwinckle, a long term resident of Hokkaido married to a Japanese and
a prolific writer and activist supporting the cause of non-Japanese
residents of Japan, will speak on: THE INVISIBLE RESIDENT: HOW
NON-JAPANESE ARE OVERLOOKED AND IGNORED IN JAPAN. The speeches will be
in English but questions will be invited in either Japanese or
English. DATE: Sunday, 26 March TIME: 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM PLACE:

ADMISSION: Non-members: 500 Yen Members: Free of charge Non-members
may join UFJ for a Symposium special membership fee of 3000 Yen
